Jordan Smyth
Jordan is a former member and chair of the board of the Alzheimer’s Association National Capital Area Chapter. The cause is very personal to him: Alzheimer’s disease led to his father’s early retirement from a long-time law practice at age 62 and death at 69. Jordan joined the board to help find a cure for the disease, promote awareness, and provide support for those affected, and he was part of the team that started the Brain Ball in 2014.
A proud Tar Heel, Jordan moved in 2005 with his wife and three sons to Bethesda, where he is a partner in the wealth management firm Edgemoor Investment Advisors. Jordan was a Morehead Scholar at the University of North Carolina and earned an MBA from Harvard.
Jordan currently serves on the board and as treasurer of the Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School Educational Foundation and on the DC Advisory Board of the North Carolina Outward Bound School. He is also a member of the Economic Club of Washington, DC and a member of the Leadership Greater Washington class of 2019. He previously served as a member of the board of the North Carolina Outward Bound School and a member of the Phillips Academy Alumni Council and Andover Development Board.
